Duties include (but are not limited to):
Safely monitor and operate power plant equipment including combustion
turbines, steam turbine, generator, heat recovery steam generators, water
treatment equipment, etc.
Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on equipment as needed.
Test and treat boiler water, maintain data logs, housekeeping, etc.
Understand and comply with plant safety and environmental policies and programs.
Obtain proficiency in Control Room Operator's duties.
Education:
HS diploma or recognized equivalent required.
Experience:
Three years in related power plant equipment operations. Exhibit a strong
mechanical or electrical proficiency. Military experience and computer skills a
plus.
Physical Requirements:
Job requires the ability to climb to and work on elevated surfaces, work in
confined areas, occasional lifting of 50 lbs or less, wear different PPE (safety
glasses, hardhats, hearing protection, full faced and ½ face respirators).
Must be able to work indoor/outdoor and in a wide range of temperatures.
