Position Description:
Marvell is a recognized leader in the development of innovative, breakthrough
solutions in the area of extreme broadband communication, storage and wireless
products. The Marvell Power Management Group's aim is to provide leading edge
power management solutions that are both market competitive, and capable of
supporting and complementing Marvell's existing product lines. We specialize in
developing innovative DSP, analog and mixed signal technologies to create
cutting edge PM products that offer competitive cost, ease of use, small form
factor and design flexibility.
This position will allow you to utilize your knowledge of DC/DC converter
topologies, variable control schemes, board level designs and component trade
offs. As a Staff/Senior application engineer, you will focus on:
-Writing new product definitions and assisting design engineers in generating
new product architecture and specifications.
-New product evaluation and datasheets.
-Promoting new products to customers, writing application notes and performing
competitive analysis.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have either a MSEE with 5+ years of relevant IC
industry product definition and application development experience or a PhD with
2+ years of relevant experience. Power Supply Design and Customer Interface
experience in portable, computing or telecom industries is preferred. Knowledge
of using simulation tools such as PSpice is required. The ideal candidate must
have good communication and problem solving skills, exhibit potential leadership
qualities and be open to occasional travel.
