Drilling Engineering Responsibilites:
- A Drilling Engineer in Chevron's Drilling & Completion Functional group is
responsible for fit for purpose well designs, risk assessments and probabilistic
cost estimating, along with capturing lessons learned and best practices
(internal & external) for sharing with other members of the drilling &
completion engineering community and inclusion into future programs. Keeping
abreast of emerging new technologies and bringing them forth for incorporation
into well design and operations is also a key component of this job. Scope of
operations consists of development and exploration/appraisal well
drilling/testing with some positions requiring demonstrated deepwater well skill
sets. Works with respective rig contractors and third party service partners as
appropriate to achieve well design goals. Assists in training/mentoring less
experienced employees. Areas of operation are global with future assignments in
US and international locations and dictated by business needs and individual
employee desires. A degree of mobility will be expected of the successful
candidate and their family/dependents.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required in Engineering.
- Demonstrated experience in drilling engineering, well design, time and cost
estimating, writing of drilling programs.
- Demonstrated experience in drilling operations, safe work practices and
procedures.
- Works well with others in a mutli-functional team environment. Able to conduct
oneself professionally with partners and government representatives.
- Strong network capability and desire to seek the best solution and practices.
Actively shares Best Practices and lessons learned.

- Good organizational and engineering /analytical skills. Holds self & others
