Position Description:

As a Staff/ Senior Staff IC designer in the power management group, you will have the opportunity to help define our next generation products. You will be able to utilize your analog/ mixed signal skills to research and develop new power control/delivery topologies & solutions. Our value-added proposition to our customers is our ability to combine our PM capability with SOC and software delivering true "system-wide power optimized solutions. In conjunction with Marvell's other winning system-design teams, you will be responsible for bringing your creation through all phases of product definition and IC design, including idea formulation, design and simulation, layout, test and evaluation, and product launch.


Marvell is a recognized leader in the development of innovative, breakthrough solutions in the area of extreme broadband communication, storage and wireless system solutions addressing both the consumer and enterprise markets. Consumer electronics and gadgets are commanding ever-increasing complex functionality while demanding extreme low-power operations. The goal of Marvell's Power Management (PM) solutions is to provide TRUE "System-wide power-optimized solutions to our customers in various consumer products such as cellular phones, gaming devices, PDAs etc. We specialize in utilizing innovative digitally assisted analog, mixed signal + DSP techniques to add real values to our system solutions. We focus on providing high performance, power-optimized, small form factor, added flexibility, ease of use, and cost effective system solutions.


Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have either a Masters or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of Power Management IC design experience. Special background in the area of multiphase topology or battery controller is a plus although not mandatory. He/she must have good communication and problem solving skills. Leadership traits and/or experience would be a plus. A solid understanding of analog or mixed signal IC design concepts is a must.
