Primary Responsibilities:
- Monitor, analyze and characterize the performance of complex data processing systems.
- Isolate faults - Trace faults and distinguish between hardware and software fault sources.
- Recommend and initiate actions to correct faults.
- Integrate and test new hardware and updated software.
- Conduct database builds and support installation.
- Manage other members of Field Engineering Team (5 personnel)
- Submit weekly and monthly reports to several different end users
- Work with a diverse team of users, analysts, Raytheon and other contractor personnel, and customers.


Required Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Expertise typically gained through four or more years of hardware/software experience including ground station support, UNIX, and system administration experience, and Solaris 8 operating system.
- Demonstrated ability in handling the Job Responsibilities described above.
- Highly effective oral and written English communication abilities.
- Strong teamwork skills - The ability to interact productively with end users, analysts, other Raytheon personnel, and customers in a diverse team setting.


Desired Skills Knowledge and Abilities:
- Strong verbal and written English language skills.
- Knowledgeable in military equipment accounts and the Core Automated Maintenance System (CAMS).
 

     BS/BA Engineering Science or Mathematics, or equivalent experience and training.
