Duties & Responsibilities:
- Gain a thorough understanding of our (1) SDLC process, (2) development, QA,
and production environments, and (3) Product platforms.
- Design, code, document, unit test, integration test & defect resolution.
- Help build necessary development environments
- Research issues reported from Quality Assurance in order to reproduce and
isolate defects.
- Work with other Engineering personnel to ensure consistency between our
products.
Qualifications:
- The Software Engineer must have a Computer Science degree (may be substituted
with 2 years Systems Development experience)
- 3 years of System Development experience with Windows platform utilizing
Microsoft technologies.
- Financial Services or High Volume Transaction Systems are highly desirable.
- Solid development experience in Visual C++ and MFC.
- Development experience in Visual Basic and COM/COM+.
- Experience working with either SQL Server or Oracle database, including
proficiency in SQL. Some experience writing stored procedures is required.
- Experience with web technologies (IIS) including .ASP, HTML, .JSP is
desirable.
- Knowledge of the following will be a plus (1) Scripting languages - VBScript,
JavaScript, Perl (2) Java programming (3) UNIX commands.
- Experience in Financial Services or High Volume Transaction Systems will be a
plus.
- The ability to work well in a team environment and communicate clearly, often
through spoken and/or written means.
