Position Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform pipe stress analysis (Flexibility, Weight, Steam Hammer, Seismic
and wind loading) of high temperature critical piping systems per B31.1 Code
for Fossil Power Plants.
- The stress work includes the preparation of the modeling of the piping
systems to increase flexibility and qualifying nozzles of various equipment to
meet vendor's allowables.
- Focus on innovative work process, cost-effectiveness and total-installed
cost.
- Interface with vendors as well as other engineering disciplines.
- Participates in reviewing and checking designs, calculations and data
prepared by subordinate engineers.
- Go on business trips on as need basis.
Position Skills/Qualifications:
- Candidate must have good oral and written communication skills to conduct
coordination activities with piping designers, pipe support engineers and
construction personnel.
- Candidate must be willing to travel to job sites and other Bechtel offices
as required.
- Gr. 25 candidate have 10 to 12 years of experience in performing pipe
stress
calculations. Gr. 26 - 12 to 15 years.
