ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:
- Manages, coordinates, and controls application of activities within the
following disciplines: Process Engineering, Design Engineering, Design/Drafting
Services, Facilities Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Hydraulics, Right of
Way, Asset Integrity, and construction management.
- Serves as the region's "technical knowledge asset manager , ensuring that all
technical applications are current, value-adding and consistent with best
practices.
- Plays a leadership role in driving the success of the region's asset
management team supporting with the various functions.
- Participates in the development of, and gives technical input on longer-term
issues concerning the future operation of pipeline facilities, i.e. projects,
budget management, best practices, long-range planning / optimization, emerging
technologies, etc.
- Recommends programs for further development including changes to equipment,
new equipment, new construction and new products.
- Provides project engineering support for small projects.
- Serves as a key leader in the OE Management System, managing OE processes to
achieve world class performance.
- Manages pipeline corrosion prevention, coating, metallurgy, failure analysis
and repair standards for the region.
- Strong interface with central engineering and ETC to assess and manage risks
in the pipeline systems, and seek best available technologies to implement.
Manages the programs relating to rotating equipment and compressors reliability
and technical expertise. Coaches, mentors, and establishes clear expectations
and performance standards for employees.
- Deploys Company personnel policies and programs.
- Champion of the training and development of employees. Supports, and is a
primary participant in PSM, Taproot, Incident Reporting System, Incident
Investigations and corrective actions in the region.
- Manages the engineering records and Engineering Document Management processes
for the region.
- Ensures accuracy, currency of engineering data and its availability in GIS.
SPECIAL SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS OR ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS/INFORMATION:
- Bachelor's degree required in Mechanical, Chemical or Civil Engineering.
- Relocation benefits will be considered.

very field focused operating organization. Experience in meeting the needs of
the field operations without sacrificing key engineering design principles and
practices. Experience in managing engineering design and drafting contracts and
establishing and monitoring performance measures.

Demonstrated ability to clearly articulate orally and in writing with the
ability to translate complex technical issues into user friendly communications.

Well organized in work planning and scheduling. Able to simultaneously manage
multiple tasks and projects effectively. Ability to work independently with
minimum supervision.
