Job Description:
JAs a Senior Software Engineer, your primary responsibility is to test
automation. You will need to understand what the developer is doing but this is
primarily a testing related position. Responsibilities include the following:
- Test responsibility for Industrial Automation products at various stages of
the Hardware/Firmware Development life-cycle. Test may be integration,
functional, performance, or system tests for new and legacy products.
- Typical workflow would be: review documentation of product requirements and
features, plan and estimate the work package to achieve test coverage, develop
test cases and document test procedures, realize tests, isolate problems and
document results, entering problem reports as needed.
- Investigation of problems reported by customers or Technical Service
Engineers.
- Direct support to Technical Service Engineers in assigned product areas.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Programming required
- 5+ years relevant work experience
- Solid understanding of test embedded software and firmware development
lifecycle
- Should have exposure to CMM or CMMI and Rational Tool - specifically Clearcase
- Test automation design and development experience beneficial
- Experience in software development or test.
- Strong programming skills in a Microsoft environment including C#, C++, VB and
Visual Studio.NET.
