CST-The Composites Store, Inc. has been providing high quality, lightweight composite materials since 1988. We target low volume applications for model builders, educational projects, research and development but all our materials are available in larger quantities. CST stocks a wide range of structural materials in carbon fiber, aramid (Kevlar) and fiberglass. In addition to woven and unidirectional fabrics, braids and mats (veils), we carry a range of cured products. These include solid and hollow rods, wrapped tubes, rectangular shapes and even a rectangular tube. Carbon fiber and fiberglass plates and sandwich panels are available in a range of thickness and sheet sizes. WEST SYSTEM, Pro-Set and MGS epoxy systems are offered to meet the wide range of structural applications. WEST SYSTEM is well known in the marine industry as a user-friendly epoxy system for wood, foam and fiberglass. Pro-Set and MGS epoxy systems are recommended for carbon fiber and aramid (Kevlar) applications to better take advantage of the higher strength properties of these materials. Vacuum bagging and wet lay up molding supplies for room temperature to 375° F. are available in small quantities and in some cases beginner kits to practice and learn vacuum bagging and molding processes.
