In addition to our existing electronic design capabilities IST Integrated Sensor Technologies is designing, and developing gas detection equipment for the consumer and industrial marketplaces. This equipment includes portable handheld gas monitors/leak detectors, fixed gas monitors, stand-alone wireless monitors, hydrocarbon and toxic gas detection systems. The primary consumer products will include detection systems for boats, recreational vehicles, small aircraft and the home. The primary target industries who will use IST's products include HVAC, chemical plants, sewer treatment plants, oil and gas manufacturing and distribution companies, natural gas transmission and distribution companies and contractors. Factory sales representatives will sell some of IST’s products direct to end-users, while other products will be sold through distributors, sales reps and wholesalers with IST providing sales and technical support. Gas detection equipment in the consumer market and industry is a large diverse market offering excellent growth opportunities. As new health and environmental concerns are discovered, new gas detection solutions are required. Although most of IST's products will compete in traditional markets, development in response to new industry demand considered to be specialized or niche market products in gas detection will continue. Utilization of new emerging sensor technologies will be a priority. IST has the technical depth to be creative in the development of new products as new gas detection requirements are identified. Although most of the IST's business activity will take place in North America. The long-range plans will include promotion to the global market once targeted performance is achieved in North America.
