Therm-Omega-Tech designs and manufactures the most advanced, reliable, compact self-actuating valves for temperature control and the conservation of energy. Common applications include Freeze Protection Valves for water lines, safety showers, pumps, and nozzles. Scald Protection Valves are primarily used in safety shower systems to remove over-temperature water from supply lines exposed to solar radiation or heat tracing. Fluid Temperature Sensing Valves are used for temperature control in applications such as steam tracing, pump over-temperature protection or cooling water control. Ambient Temperature Control Valves are used to turn on steam, air, gas or liquids based on ambient conditions while Pipe or Tank Temperature Control Valves activate based on the temperature of the fluid being controlled. Mixing, Diverting & Tempering Valves are used for radiator, heat exchanger and hydraulic fluid cooling control as well as maintaining constant temperature for washbasins, baths and sinks. Therm-Omega-Tech also manufactures a line of Tempered Water Systems for safety showers, as well as Hosedown and Washdown Stations for equipment and facility washdown applications. Built to exacting standards, each valve operates on the same modulation logic. The heart of every T-O-T valve is a solid-to-liquid phase change actuator. The precise motion of these thermal actuators can be used to operate a wide variety of devices, limited only by the imagination of the designer. No outside power source is required to produce motion and temperature change alone can be used to operate these valves. Load changes have little to no effect on operating temperature. Properties of the thermal materials within the valve’s actuator are so precise that ASTM uses them as primary reference standards for instrument calibration.
