Established in 1979 by Mike Casson and his wife Catherine, City Seals & Bearings Ltd has grown to become the areas largest “Authorised Distributor” of bearings, belts, chain, seals, pneumatics and power transmission equipment (see product pages for much more). Originally based at 64 The Wicker in Sheffield, the company rapidly grew its customer base due to its commitment to providing a level of service second to none, the simple belief that “stockists should stock” and stock should be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The company soon attracted the attention of some of the worlds leading manufacturers, recognising a company who would not only stock their products but also promote and represent them with 100% commitment and loyalty. In 1995 the company opened a second branch office in the nearby town of Rotherham, the emphasis again on service and stock, using it's in depth knowledge of the area to attract many more clients. From late 1998 Mike was one of a number of like minded independent distributors who formed the Independent Authorised Distributor Alliance Ltd (see more in the following pages) “National Strength, Local Expertise, IADA Ltd”. In 2000 the Sheffield branch office was re-located to Stevenson road in the busy Attercliffe area of Sheffield, with better access, ease of parking and even more stock the company has continued to develop into the force it has become. 2002 saw the acquisition of Pipemore Ltd a local distributor of pipe, pipe fittings, hose and pneumatic equipment, increased staff and stock has enabled Pipemore to grow. During 2005, City Seals & Bearings Ltd celebrated 25 years in business, during this time the company has continued to grow at a healthy rate, this has been achieved by having the “best staff”, the “best suppliers” and offering the “best service”, today as then the motto is still the same... ...Service that never stops
