Company Name: Applied Dynamics International, Inc.
Company Type: development
Company Profile
Distributed hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulation is a powerful technique for creating large, complex, real-time integration labs. This paper discusses the major considerations taken when implementing a distributed real-time integration lab. For more, see Distributed HIL Simulation.
The success of a jet engine program is closely tied to the quality of its Full Authority Digital Engine Controller (FADEC). Read more: Jet Engine HIL Simulation for Electronic Control System Testing.
About Company
Applied Dynamics International (ADI) provides state-of-the art software and hardware tools to the automotive, aerospace, and defense industries to design and test embedded control systems. In addition, our services team develops highly specialized solutions, tailored to meet your customers' unique and demanding needs.
ADI's tools provide advanced capabilities in real-time hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulation, rapid prototyping, and embedded controller software development. We have been a leading supplier of HIL simulation solutions since 1957. We started with our own designed analog computer, evolved hybrid computers in the 60's, and developed the AD 10, the first all digital replacement of the hybrid computer in the late 70's. ADI designed a second-generation digital computer; the AD 100 with ADI developed software in the mid 80's. Many of these AD 100 digital systems are still in use today.
Today, ADI's Advantage product line leverages all of our experience with commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) computer processors, industry standard interface devices, and popular software applications. Our products are uniquely qualified to meet the needs of the most demanding HIL applications.
In 1995, ADI commercialized BEACON, a state-of-the-art software development tool, including a graphical design tool, a code generator and an automated tester. Our BEACON products offer affordable, safety-critical software development tools for embedded controls applications. This tool has now been in use for over a decade, generating production safety critical application code for jet engine controllers. It has more production experience than virtually any other code generator available in the market place.
