C. H. Ellis manufactures a wide range of high-quality industrial cases made in Indianapolis, IN. We make and supply cases for a variety of applications. Our carrying or shipping cases are for tools, medical instruments, equipment, spare parts, circuit boards, samples, and demonstration.
Ellis also makes portable enclosures for test sets, medical, measurement, communications, broadcast and scientific equipment, and belt pouches to mobile equipment racks, as well as static control products. C. H. Ellis was formed in 1902, at which time we were manufacturing harnesses and saddles for horses. Since then, Ellis has adapted to the changing needs of industry and now manufactures products to meet the needs of high technology industries. Most of the products are now manufactured from manmade materials such as Polyethylene, ABS, Polystyrene, Cordura and nylon.
From the very first commercially available organized attaché tool case until today, our design engineers have been providing innovative solutions for portable protection and organization applications. We have an impressive list of "firsts" and continue to be industry leaders in innovation and quality. In September of 2000, the C. H. Ellis Co. purchased Howe Industries of Sanford, Florida, from the Leather Specialty Company. The addition of Howe increases our product offering and production capacity. Howe, like Ellis, enjoys a reputation for supplying high-quality case products.
