In 1991, when CFI ProServices consolidated its staff to the Portland area, the research engineering team members were invited to move to Oregon. Several accepted the offer, but the principal design and research staff elected to remain in Bozeman, Montana and formed Bridger Systems, Inc. In 2003 Bridger Systems' compliance software division was sold, and the company changed its name to Xionetic Technologies.
