Designed and Manufactured for the National Space Research Centre in Leicester. This space-age elivator cabin or 'Lift Pod' can comfortably hold up to six people.
Embedded within the GRP and steel frame are toughened glass panels that allow passengers un-obstructive viewing over the visitors centre and exhibition areas.
The design and production was achieved in-house over a period of 12-16 weeks. 3D Models were created in concept form, allowing the client to watch a virtual walk-through before actual manufacturing commenced.

We have been manufacturing quality products since the 1940's when the company was originally named Bennetts Plastics.
Progressing to the manufacture of GRP in the 60's, Bennetts Plastics was taken over by Glasdon UK in the early 70's and became Glasdon Designs Ltd.
In February 2000 Arbory Group acquired the company and continued to improve and expand the product range further. We are now engaged in the marketing, design and manufacture of a diverse range of glass fibre mouldings for an infinite variety of uses within the industrial, commercial, architectural and public service markets.
