About Company
By any measure, VeriFone is the global leader in secure electronic payment
technologies. Our size, scale and expertise provide unrivalled breadth and
flexibility to our customers and partners. With more installed systems
than any other company we have access to a storehouse of hands-on knowledge and
experience we can share with the marketplace. With distribution to more than 100
countries we’re available and ready to assist wherever business is conducted.
While global in scale, VeriFone serves customers through an efficient network
of smaller distributed locations around the world rather than a traditional
operation with a central headquarters. This structure includes recognized
Centers of Excellence—local offices and teams that take the lead on developing
products based on emerging technologies. Any time of day, somewhere in the
world, VeriFone employees are working to create innovative payment solutions,
and to customize and fine-tune them to market requirements.
Purpose-inspired design for specific business needs
Major changes in worldwide standards and the emergence of a variety of new
technologies have put tremendous demands on the electronic payment industry.
As a result VeriFone has allocated hundreds of millions of dollars for
product and technology research and development over the past five years.
Our goal, to create the best, most needed solutions and to ensure we provide
customers the right product families.
All of our product and marketing decisions are driven by purpose-inspired
design—where we work closely with customers globally to obtain direct input
into product development. VeriFone averages dozens of new products a year based
on customer input, a remarkable record of innovation. Yet even with that steady
flow, many of our products, such as Tranz and Omni devices, are still in use a
decade or more after their introduction. That longevity means quality and
superior value for customers.
Local connections that bring us closer to customers
While VeriFone’s reach extends to many countries, our extensive network of
offices, development centers, partners, and field personnel is what truly
enables us to collaborate with customers. Wherever VeriFone operates, we
apply our expertise in product certification and standards to ensure you receive
the highest levels of performance, compliance, security, and interoperability.
Our VeriFone International Partners (VIP) program includes nearly 100 select
partners. Our developer network numbers more than 700 firms. We also maintain
close relationships with financial institutions, card associations, governments,
and virtually any type of organization active in electronic commerce to provide
and represent our customers on the latest developments in payment technology.
Unmatched delivery, unmatched dependability
Drawing upon both quality-certified internal manufacturing facilities and
proven, outsourced organizations, VeriFone applies exceptional design and
engineering expertise to ensure that products reach customers as promised and
perform as expected. Having dual manufacturing capability provides us
flexibility to handle any order, from large runs to special projects. In
addition, we have a more comprehensive understanding of market sourcing issues,
increasing our understanding of component prices and performance, and ensuring
we are providing our customers the most dependable supply source they can find.
Many of VeriFone’s engineers and delivery staff have been with the company
20 years or more. They serve on standards committees, consult with card
associations and processors, and help establish regulations for security and
other key requirements. Further, technical professionals, consultants and
training personnel go wherever needed to install and configure systems, improve
the user experience, and troubleshoot issues.
A world of secure payment solutions
VeriFone is a leader in bringing virtually all types of hardware, software, and
electronic payment solutions to market. Our product line includes every
type of payment system a merchant might need and is backed by unsurpassed
