Company Profile

Originally, MULTISAC®’s produced most products by hand. In the 1940’s, we were the first Canadian bag manufacturer to introduce automation to textile bag making, with the purchase of one of the first Schmutz presses made. This enabled rolled fabric to be printed, cut and folded, in one operation.

Over the years, the company updated its equipment and product line, taking advantage of developments in the textile, plastic and converting industries. Jute tubing, woven polyethylene and polypropylene bags were added.

In the early 80s, under its current president, Mark Kraminer, MULTISAC® refocused its product line toward high-performance flexible packaging products, serving the emerging markets for protective wraps and caps in the forest products, metals and recreation vehicles industries.

About Company

An important factor in the success of MULTISAC® has been the existence of a fully-equipped in-house engineering department which maintains, renews and, in fact, builds most of its equipment. This asset has enabled MULTISAC® to utilize advanced technology in its processes and products. In addition, this fully staffed department maintains the production facilities at the highest level of efficiency.

In June 1999, MULTISAC® moved to a fully integrated facility consisting of 108,000 square feet of plant, warehouse and offices located in the Montreal suburb of St. Laurent. Investment in this plant and in state-of-the-art equipment has allowed MULTISAC® to triple its potential capacity to serve customers and to embark on new avenues of growth.
