About the way we use information:

Xantrex Technology Inc. adheres to strict principles regarding the limitation of collection, use, and disclosure of personal information within the organization. Wherever possible, employees maintain personal information in computer programs that require access via password.

When placing an order or catalog request

When you place an order or request a catalog, we only use the information you provide to complete that order or request. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete that order or request. Xantrex employs third-party credit card processing services to approve transactions and post the funding to our accounts. In certain circumstances, customers may also pay by check or international postal money order as an alternative to providing credit card information.

If you provide information about someone else when placing an order, we only use that information to ship the product and to confirm delivery. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete that order.

We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties. 

Aggregate data about shipments is generated from these sources, but personal information is eliminated for that use.

When requesting customer service 

Emails and calls sent to customer service at Xantrex are transformed into call tickets in our internal customer support software, which store the e-mail address, alias, subject, and e-mail body. These call tickets are managed internally by Xantrex staff to track open customer issues, route calls to the right departments internally for resolution, and provide a permanent record of the issue so that the company can improve its service based on the experience of previous customer interactions. This information is not used for any other purpose and is not shared with outside parties. When registering products

Product registration data submitted via our website is entered into our secure customer information databases. Information submitted is only used in the following manner:
