Founded in 1981, our first product was a simple RS-232 tester. Since then B&B Electronics has had a history of continuous growth and expansion. Today we inventory thousands of products and are recognized worldwide as an expert in data communications. Our sister company, System Connection provides custom and OEM cable solutions for our products as well as many of our customers. B&B Electronics and System Connection are subsidiaries of Avtek Corporation located in Providence, Rhode Island. B&B Electronics is committed to the protection of our environment and is taking the steps necessary to meet the challenges of new regulatory requirements as they arise. A recent challenge is the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive of the European Union. RoHS restricts the use of a number of substances in electrical and electronic equipment, effective July 1, 2006. B&B Electronics is developing a plan to bring our products into compliance by the legislated date. We are working with suppliers and industry peers to identify and install compatible processes to ensure smooth transition to the new technologies.
