With this computer program you may calculate online the dose, which you would receive along a specified flight due to cosmic radiation. Additionally, you may determine the dose, which is accumulated during a stay of one hour at any flight position in the atmosphere.

The German Aviation Authority (LBA, Federal Office for Aviation) and the National Metrology Institute, Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB), granted official approval for the EPCARD v.3.34 in December 2003.
Using EPCARD online is free of charge, but it is not appropriate for routine calculations.
In order to fulfil the European national legislations concerning the cosmic ray exposure of aircrew the full version of the EPCARD program is required.
If you are interested in the commercial use of EPCARD by airlines and related aviation industries, please send your request to the GSF-National Research Center to obtain the conditions of a licence agreement.
