Hi-Por Ceramics Ltd (Hi-Por) is a member of the Dyson Group Plc. The Dyson Group has manufactured refractories and industrial ceramics in the United Kingdom for almost two hundred years. The Hi-Por offices and production plant are located in the Sheffield area, England.
Hi-Por was formed in 1998 to commercialise ceramic processing technologies held and patented by Dytech Corporation Ltd, also a subsidiary of the Dyson Group. Hi-Por now has the capability of supplying a wide range of porous and dense ceramics in many metal oxides and non-oxides.
Hi-Por has customers in a wide variety of industries with applications including high temperature refractory linings, kiln furniture, catalyst carriers, biomedical implants and drug releasing materials, gas/liquid filtration, metal matrix composites and ceramic membranes.
